The Winans House (J Albert Winans)

This house belonged to JA (Bert) Winans.  In later years, it had apartment rooms in addition to being the family home.

The home was on the North side of Main Street in the area where Clear Lake Lumber now stands just east of Blakeslee Street .

The house was later demolished.

One of the couples who started married life in a Winans Apartment was Margie and Bernie Skiff.  I believe the apartment was in the house, not a tree house…
