The “New” (1922) School

As the attendance at Spartansburg school increased and the building aged, the community members realized that a new home for education was needed.  So, the School Board and community leaders began to explore making it a reality.

The school names have been revised over the years, being Spartansburg Vocational School until 1953 when it became Spartansburg Consolidated School/ Sparta Merged.

A separate gymnasium and home-economics building were available on the same campus as the school.  The members of the school board and local leaders continually provided for the needs of the Spartansburg students.
